And the pictures are fine, no it's not SLR quality but for a point and shoot, I think they are really decent pictures, in my humble opinion. I used to think it took good pics until I got my SLR. You just have to hold it really still to get a non-blurry photo. It does take video, though. I do still use it when I don't want to haul the other one. I also let the kids use it every once in a while which is fun!
